4-Step Design Journey

An easy approach to design for our full service interior styling clients.

Our design philosophy embraces minimalism in design, comfort in functionality, detail in styling, and a bright, fresh, and vibrant approach to colour.
We believe in styling interior spaces that combine form and function.

Discovery & Development - We take the time to understand your lifestyle, your design preferences, the functionality of your space, and the budgetary parameters you would like to work within.

Selections, Sourcing & Custom Design - Our design team develops a strong design concept, works alongside you on the development of the design concept, and presents a strong styling concept for your interior. Our teams select and procure the relevant furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories for your consideration. We work with our network of suppliers to produce custom elements.

Production & Styling - Our team provides full service project management. We work in your interior space to fully produce the vision with our team of contractors, designers, and stylists. The complete vision is ready for your enjoyment.

Final Details & Evaluation - Once complete, our styling team refines the interior space with accents, accessories, and personal memorabilia. We review the space with our clients to ensure all the final details have been captured to your specifications.

How It Works

Select one of many service options that best meet your needs for the project. Our team works with you to fully understand the functionality of the space, your personal design preferences, the project timeline, and your budgetary parameters.

WHAT DOES YOUR DESIGN FEE INCLUDE?
Our design fees range from $2,500 - $10,000 CAD per space. Upon completion of our ‘Design Profile’ and a thirty (30) minute ‘Discovery Call’ with one of our team members, we will prepare a design services budget summary that is based on the scope of the project and degree of our involvement. Our design fee includes storyboarding exercises, floor plan exercises, furniture/fixture/finish selection, full style guide, paint/wallcovering selections, accessories development, site visits, and resources listing. The design fee is inclusive of two (2) rounds of design revisions.

FULL INTERIOR DECORATING SERVICES

Our team works with you from concept to project completion - working alongside you every step of the way.

Services include concept development, spatial planning, colour story development, furniture/fixtures/finishes selection, and full project management.

Includes two (2) rounds of revisions, two (2) three-hour design consultations and two (2) project site visits.

Full interior decorating services can also include construction management at an additional fee.

INTERIOR DECORATING STYLE GUIDE

Our team develops a ‘Style Guide’ designed specifically for the interior space of your choice outlining all the details required for you to produce the project on your own. The booklet includes a spatial planning exercise, colour story development, furniture/fixture/finish selection, and resource guide.

Includes one (1) round of revisions and one (1) three- hour design consultation.

120-MINUTE DESIGN CONSULTATION

An in-person (or virtual) design consultation in your home with our team. The consultation is a high-level overview including spatial planning, colour story development, and furniture/fixture/finishes development.

A great opportunity to see if the Paras Events team is right for you, whilst providing scope to your design project.

Consultation services only - no post-consultation deliverables.

DESIGN CONSULTATION FEE - $500 CAD
$100 CAD PER HOUR THEREAFTER, MAXIMUM FOUR (4) HOURS

PERSONAL DESIGN CONCIERGE

One of our most popular services! A member of our design team accompanies you on your trip to select finishes, fabrics, furniture, art, lighting, and/or accessories.

We take your lead and meet you at the boutique of your choice and assist with selections.  Leave your favourite boutiques feeling confident in your selections.

PERSONAL DESIGN CONCIERGE - $100 CAD PER HOUR
MINIMUM OF FOUR (4) HOURS
MILEAGE SURCHARGE OUTSIDE THE GREATER TORONTO AREA

 Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED TIMELINE FOR FULL INTERIOR STYLING PROJECTS?

Each project is unique and considers several variables that affect the timeline of a project.  On average, interior decorating projects require 3-6 months to complete.  This is affected by the number of custom elements (including custom furniture), availability of products/materials, availability of tradespeople, obtaining municipal permits, and the speed at which our design team receives decisive feedback from our clients.  COVID-19 has also become a determining factor in project timelines.

Do clients receive designer discounts?

Yes, a portion of our designer/trade discounts are passed on to you.  In most cases, the discounts we negotiate on your behalf, cover our design fees, providing tremendous value when investing in your interior.

DO YOU WORK WITH SPECIFIC CONTRACTORS?

We work with two (2) preferred contracting teams when managing construction on your behalf. Our construction management fee is payable on an hourly basis. We are happy to work with contractor teams of your choice, but cannot provide construction management services in those scenarios, nor can be responsible for the outcome and projected timelines of the project.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT TERMS?

A retainer of 50% of the design fee is payable prior to the commencement of the project, upon signing of a contract. The additional 50% is due prior to the presentation of the final design plan. Additional services and hours are billed on a monthly basis. All additional services and hours will only commence (and subsequently billed), with your written approval. For our ‘Personal Design Concierge’ service, our clients are required to initial a time sheet as confirmation.
